Yinglong the Winged Dragon Wallpaper

《山海经·大荒东经》 records that Yinglong dwells in the southern reaches, having slain both Chiyou and Kuafu — the winged dragon who turned the war for the Yellow Emperor. The 《拾遗记》 and the old commentary to the 《楚辞》 add his second feat: when the great flood refused to drain, Yinglong traced river courses with his tail for Yu the Great to follow. Hence the wings that pour the waters.
